eButterfly is seeking any butterfly record (must have as minimum information the locality – with georeference is best), date, and observer/collector) that eButterflyers are willing to share with us. For example, eButterfly received more than 30 000 records from the last 40 years to add to our current database from individuals and institutions across Canada. These records will gradually be added to the database. Each additional record increases the precision of our state, national and North-American scale species distribution models that model the past, and predict current and future distribution of butterfly species.
